In the heart of East Nashville’s historic Edgefield neighborhood, hear author Nikki Burdine read Live Like Grunt and learn lessons on loving fiercely, loyally and unconditionally. And in the afternoon hear author Mattie Bush-Martin read Amelia and the Old New Truck. This is the story of a Truck that, after years of hard work with a carpenter, is put away and forgotten inside a barn until one day, a girl named Amelia finds her and decides to make this old truck new again.
A percentage of any purchase at The Getalong on March 2 will go toward books for children in Davidson, Sumner and Williamson counties.
