Good morning! It's been a heartbreaking and challenging ten days here in Nashville. First off, we know your inboxes are full of Coronavirus (COVID-19) related news, and this is one more dispatch. But know that your health and safety are our top priority. By now we're all taking this pandemic very seriously, while also remaining calm and rational. At this time, we are continuing to operate with our normal store hours, along with other local businesses in our area. We are fortunate to have a large space with lots of room to spread out for social distancing and plenty of wipes! However, if you prefer the convenience and comfort of shopping from our online store—with new arrivals weekly—we offer local delivery, free curbside pickup, and nationwide shipping services (if there's something you don't see online that you know we have in the shop, just give us a call 615-292-7775 or message us!).
I want to outline the proactive measures we are taking to ensure a safe and healthy shop environment to prevent any potential further spread of the virus:
• We are closely monitoring daily updates and recommendations from the CDC and Metro Nashville Public Health Department.
• We have increased our routine cleaning and wiping down of high-touch areas.
• We have temporarily removed small, harder to clean items in our play area.
• We have postponed any events that involve close proximity of individuals to help flatten the curve. Today's Creative Play with Little Art House has been cancelled and Houseplants 101 for Kids with FLORA has been postponed as well as Saturday's play date with Tots Aloud. Stay tuned for updates.
• As a business that does not accept cash, we're eliminating one additional common exposure to bacteria and viruses.
• We're following and promoting the minimum 20 second guideline for washing hands (thank goodness for Twigs and Roots and Wash With Water's moisturizers!).
• And if you or a little one are under the weather, please wait to come see us once you're feeling better.
Obviously this is a rapidly changing situation. If you're not already following us on Instagram (find us here), please do so—it's the most efficient way for us to keep you up-to-date on our plans via posts and stories regarding classes, in-store events, and the shop. We hope you saw that Little Art House has cancelled today's previously scheduled Creative Play, but does plan to hold Spring Break Art Camp beginning Monday (details below).
Yesterday the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp sent out some helpful resources and we thought we'd share.
